The Princeton Coffeehouse was the brainchild of Rick Reha & Lyn Reha. Originally, the shows were held at the Anne Thomas Gallery, at 942 N. Main St. in Princeton. The first performance was in June of 1993. In 1994, the Coffeehouse series was discontinued in 2002, but in the Spring of 2003, it was revived at the Hampshire Colony location by Bill Beneke, Steve Gunning & Paul Kautz. In September of 2005, the Coffeehouse was moved to its present home at Open Prairie UCC Church, 25 E. Marion St. in Princeton.

Current volunteers are Bill Beneke, Sallee Beneke, Frank Bouxsein, Cliff Cartwright & Kathy Cartwright, Sarah Cooper, Steve Gunning, Paul Kautz & Mandy Morrow.

Past volunteers have included Abby Beneke, Tom Beneke, Deb Borys, Harry Clucas, Maggie Clucas, Dana Collins, David Gorenz, Shelley Gorenz, Ron McCutcheon, Betsy Moore, Rick Moore, Deb Puetz, Jerome Puetz, Lynn Reha, Rick Reha, Dave Salmon, Tim Spacek & Karyn Stark.
